Job Description


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mobilize and organize CBOs, Community Committees, and other relevant community groups to effectively participate in the Program implementation process at the community level.
  • Make sure Program beneficiaries are identified and selected in a participatory manner with full acknowledgement of the kebele administration, the Community care coalition/Community committee and other responsible bodies in the community.
  • Support resource mobilization activities and initiatives of community groups
  • Organize and facilitate different capacity building trainings for community leaders, target for Family Focused HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Service. And their families, volunteers, Community Committees etc as per the Program plan.
  • Build the capacities of caseworker, Community care coalition/Community committee, and other relevant community groups and target beneficiaries to undertake participatory monitoring of the implementation of the Program
  • Closely works with government institutions, Community care coalition/Community committee and other relevant groups to ensure their participation and contribution to the program.
  • Work closely with health facility service providers and ensure the retention and viral suppression of CALHIV.
  • Collects basic information, best practices, case studies and lessons and report to her/his supervisor. Ensure proper and timely documentation of any relevant information
  • Provide maximum support to economic strengthening groups to become viable economic projects

Job Requirement

Education:  First Degree in Sociology, Social work, Psychology, Public Health Economic and Community Development

Specialized knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to effective liaise with Community service providers, Community, government structures and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience on developing and maintaining relations with all community and facility animators. And advanced technical skills on HIV AIDs mitigation Services OVC, KPP, PLHIVs and other vulnerable groups
  • Ability to Coaching, Mentoring and activity coordination at site level.
  • Ability to coordinate and support community engagement facilitators, SSWs, Volunteers
  • Basic computer skills
