Job Description


Major duties and responsibilities

  • Handle all bank account cheques, bank transfers and other bank related transactions including cash for depositing.
  • Prepare petty cash and cheque payment vouchers based on the supporting document and effect petty cash and cheque payments as per the approval.
  • Collect cash from staff and vendors using cash receipts and deposit in the respective bank account within 24 hours.
  • Responsible for issuance of Petty cash and codification of expenses, ensuring petty cash funds is always available and request for replenishment while the remaining balance is 25% of the float.
  • Encoding/Data entry of financial and accounting data into the computerized accounting system (Unit 4) and create payment vouchers for approvals.
  • Keep the petty cash amount and relevant documents in safe, such as cash receipt vouchers, withholding tax receipt vouchers and others.
  • Record petty cash expenditures in register book and reconcile with the petty cash fund,
  • Facilitate cash count of the petty cash on monthly basis
  • Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly documented, reviewed, authorized, and recorded.
  • Process the Income tax, withholding tax and pension for staff ensuring payments are within time stipulated by law and submit to the Sr. Finance Officer for his review on monthly.
  • Prepare service and procurement data from the financial documents on a quarterly bases and submit to ERCA.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by pulling and refiling documents.
  • Ensuring availability of financial documents, such as check stub, cash collection, withholding tax and petty cash receipt, etc. always.
  • Put paid stamp of all financial document including the supporting documents
  • Assist with monthly and annual accounting closes.
  • Serving as liaison for PATH banks accounts.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Job Requirement

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BA degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Field
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • International NGO experience is a plus.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Basic computer knowledge (word and excel).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Basic English spoken and writing.
