Job overview/ summary

We are looking for Professional Graphics Designer who is responsible for defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, layouts, and photos. He/she will be engaged in conceptualizing visuals based on requirements, creating images and layouts using design software and shape the visual aspects of websites, banners, IEC/BCC materials etc

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design concepts and format materials in various media formats, including but not limited to social media and website content, in fographics, reports, logos, signs, and information, education, communication (IEC) materials such as brochures, pamphlets and posters;
• Design and create presentations in PowerPoint – working from concepts and instruction from the colleagues
• Create a wide range of graphics layouts for programme and network which includes illustrations and photography
• Review final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary
• Create images that convey a message
• Plan concepts by studying relevant information and materials
• Design electronic invitations
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using designing software
• Amend designs after feedback
• Create designs and sample layouts.
• Be able to propose innovative and creative ideas in graphic design.
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
• Shooting, editing, and uploading videos or photos to social media sites such as YouTube, Facebook website and other
• Planning and booking shoots with clients to capture special events or moments in time
• Editing footage to create polished videos with music, titles, and subtitles
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed

Job Requirement

• BSC degree in Information Technology (ICT), Architecture, Computer Science or related fields with 1 Year of demonstrated experience In Graphic Design and related field
• Knowledge of design techniques, and fluency in Adobe creative suits such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design and Aftereffect
• Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft and other information processing software
• Strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic
