Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator the project Community Health Worker (CHW) support the implementation of the project that is designed in a way that to improves the Sexual and Reproductive Health situation of adolescent and young people in Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and flower farms in the target areas   Also supports for the project contribution to the improvement of the health conditions of adolescent and young people by improving their access to information and services for SRH and family planning at Bereh district (Sebeta Town) of Finfine zuria special zone of Oromia Region.

To effective and efficient implementation of this project, DSW is currently, looking for experienced, motivated and qualified candidates that could fill the following vacant position for the project.

Key responsibilities

Under close supervision of the Project Coordinator, the field officers execute, but not limited to, the following tasks:

• Fully engaged in day-to-day activities of the project at the Woreda & Kebele levels
• Mobilize young people in micro and small enterprises (MSE), the community and promoters towards the achievement of the project result.
• Render technical support to government and private health posts/clinics
• Work jointly with MSEs, promoters, district sector offices, flower farms and Kebele officials
• Identify and work closely with existing community based organizations and young married girls as per the realities of the target areas.
• Facilitate smooth project implementations in the project sites
• Establish enabling environment and smooth relationship with all the stakeholders
• Ensures the provision of quality SRH information and services through project modalities
• Document best practices and achievements
• Prepares and submits quality reports to the project coordinator
• Follow up and record achievements and challenges as per set indicators and standards.

Job Requirement

Minimum Criteria

• Bachelor of Science in clinical, public and/or Midwife Nursing from recognized college or university and four years relevant experiences.
• Fluent in speaking, listening & writing skills of Afan Oromo with proven interpersonal communication skills.
• Commitment to work at district and kebele level
• Relevant attachment to the grassroots reality, especially knowledge of adolescent and young people SRH issues and community mobilization
• At least minimum of 5 years relevant work experience preferably in NGOs with good reputation in running community based projects.

Duty Station:     Bereh districts (Sebeta Town) of Finfine zuria special zone of Oromia Region, project site.
