The DSC integration CoE has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking for technical challenges and gaining hands-on experience in the latest technologies.

Based within the DHL Link product team, you will work closely with all areas of integration and assist with the design and implementation of new cloud technologies. This exciting position offers opportunity to progress into a higher role.

Integration is the touch point between DHL’s IT systems and those of our customers and business partners. Within DHL Supply Chain, DHL LINK is the strategic integration platform.

This role makes decisions on both the tactical and strategic running of DHL LINK in the Cloud to ensure a robust and efficient design and performance with the minimum of disruption.

DHL Supply Chain has a varied and wide customer base. To meet customer expectations across the world, the DHL LINK Cloud Integration platform must be robust, scalable, cost effective while still giving good performance and value for money. The role carries a high level of decision-making authority.

Your key accountabilities include:

• Implement IT architecture plans and processes to deliver technical and business architecture in projects / programs running in the Cloud
• Establish application performance criteria and measurement methods
• Create plans for disaster recovery and high availability for all cloud solutions
• Interact with vendors to identify and/ or purchase cloud solutions and software
• Provide support on issues and problems from less experienced/ new team members, provide direction and guidance as needed
• Identify issues and opportunities, and implement improved practices for cloud integration architecture focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency

What are we looking for from you?

• Experience in cloud technologies (preferably Azure) and software development (Java or C#)
• Experience with databases (relational and NoSQL) and networking
• Strong Stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence other specialist departments
• Experience required in managing global and cross functional projects and programs, delivering organizational change
• Experience in delivering complex solutions in a matrix organisation across geographical boundaries
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret large data sets and turn information into action.
