Principal duties and responsibilities

• Conduct literature review in the microeconomics of irrigation; agriculture & rural development in Ethiopia
• Support the survey process related to irrigation
• Use survey data for analysis
• Collect data from national data sources and documents
• Conduct descriptive and econometric analysis, with the guidance of Lead Researcher;
• Contribute in drafting study reports with the guidance of Lead Researcher

Job Requirement

Required qualifications

• B.Sc. Degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, other closely related discipline.
• Quantitative analysis and scientific writing skills
• Publication in accredited journal is advantageous.

Specific experiences and skills required

• Knowledge of Economics- preferably Micro-economics
• Knowledge and use of Econometrics and other methods of quantitative analysis: essential
• Motivated to learn and conduct research in Agriculture and Rural Development
• Experience in qualitative/quantitative analysis of agriculture and rural development projects
• Good command of English language communication;
