Job Summary

Responsible for proper storage and safe custody of materials and goods. Ensure incoming and outgoing materials are properly recorded. Ascertain physical counts and records are in harmony and reconciled. Maintain proper level of stock; ascertain goods are adequately insured at all times

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, organize, direct, co-ordinate and control stores and inventory activities of the Company;
• Receive and issue materials in compliance with company policy and procedure
• Stores all incoming and received items according to their classifications.; ensure safe and accessible  material arrangement ; proper shelving and tidiness
• Keeps stock records and registers of store items both in bin & stock cards or on computerized systems; balances the bin against stock card (computerized system of stock) balance maintained in Finance;
• Continuously monitors stock movement and ensures that physical stock tally with documents
• Maintains stock levels such as min – max level, safety stock and reorder level. Maintains sufficient stock of fast moving items;
• Assign identification numbers for fixed assets and maintains stock records; keeps signed records of all fixed assets by each staff;
• Keeps records of all retuned items. and reports their status regularly;
• Recommends means of disposing scraps, surplus and defective materials outdated and non-operational damaged fixed assets;
• Prepares periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi and annual) for management decision making;
• Performs other duties assigned by the supply chain/finance and production managers.

Job Requirement

EDUCATION:  BA degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management/Business Management. Or related

EXPERIENCE: 10 years,6 years of which in managerial and supervisory level of relevant work experience
