Job Description


Job Summary

The Deputy CEO – Operations is responsible for planning, managing and coordinating all core Business units, review goals, strategic and operational plan of the company and provide professional advice to the CEO on overall improvement and growth of the company operations.In addition he/she will be overseeing key projects, Business lines performance evaluation against targets, Ensure all business management relationships, correspondence with stakeholders and handle the marketing and sales process of each items.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, directs and control overall business activities of the operation and take timely action as required;
  • Participates in formulating the strategy and  define  company policies, directing and coordinating all business  activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives meet business and profitability growth;
  • Develops, reviews, updates, and implements business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance, and new product development;
  • Oversees Work units to review operating reports and resolve operational problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth;
  • Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to determine manufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new markets

Job Requirement

Required Educational back ground , Work Experience and competencies

  • MA/MBA in Management, Accounting, Marketing, Business Management or related fields and 14 years’ experience in Business Management, particularly  in  import and export business  and having 4 years in leadership position. Preferably, he/she is required to have International Business management exposure.  Broad knowledge and experience in commercial  law, organizational planning, organization development, Ability to motivate & empower others to reach company goals, Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills,Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the  different stakeholders are also other skills required for the position.

Salary: As per  the company attractive remuneration scheme

Place of work: Addis Ababa with travel to different cities where branches are available.
