Summary
The Webuild S.p.A. is hiring a QA/QC Manager for GERD project, in Ethiopia.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will establish and run a Quality (Assurance and Control) Management system, in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, tailoring Corporate procedures to the project’s requirements and context.
In particular, he/she, on the project’s construction site, will carry out the following activities:
- Ensuring that the QAQC resources assigned to the project are continuously adequate to the project needs and expectation;
- Carrying out site visits/site, inspections and audits on a regular basis to ensure the implementation and quality of work;
- Managing, implementing and maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 standard, also being responsible for developing quality plans, manuals, documents and for the continuous improvement of in-house systems;
- Analyzing current work methods, providing recommendations for continuous improvement;
- Working with the Client to ensure that Quality Standards & Procedures are successfully submitted, approved and implemented against agreed timelines;
- Carrying out training with site personnel, in all relevant quality procedures and good site practices;
- Continuing to motivate our site personnel, promoting a Quality culture within the Organization;
- Providing management reports regarding quality issues;
- Managing all in-house audits and work with the construction site to solve non-compliance issues;
- Reporting any Quality Issues to the Management, working with site teams to promote a Quality culture.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years’ experience in the same job;
- Civil Engineering University Degree or related discipline (Geology);
- Qualified ISO 9001 Lead auditor;
- Proven track record on EPC projects for the main Contractor
- Many years of work experience in foreign construction sites.
- Knowledge of risk analysis and assessment techniques;
- Good knowledge of the main IT packets, particularly of Word and Excel;
- In-depth knowledge of English
