Responsibilities of senior commercial officer:

• Coordinate work demand across team resources to effectively hit deadlines for RFP packages.
• Broaden the resourcing database and update it biweekly to supervisor and head office commercial team.
• Lead the development of Pricing Analysts and invoke various analytical tools to support the company’s XXX network and pricing teams by further evolving our pricing matrix.
• Build the relationship with vendors offering service contracts to the international logistics, such as ocean carriers, stevedoring, terminals, warehouses, truckers, customs agent, insurances, warehousing, packing, barges and more. Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating purchases of logistics service. Participates on cross-functional teams to identify and select suppliers as appropriate.
• Drive efficiencies within processes to improve accuracy of data and throughput for the function through continuous improvement initiatives and automation to eliminate human error. Ensure the accuracy of the back-end rate matrix for all modes through the direction and guidance of direct reports.
• Develop and implement cost reduction and work process improvement projects to support growth initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• College degree or above; Proficient in English;
• Proficient in computer operation and English is preferred.
• 3 years and above experience in international airfreight industry, understanding of freight forwarder market;
• Strong execution, ability to analyze and solve problems, good market judgment and product development ability;
• Love international logistics industry, familiar with international air transportation and shipping process, have the agent resources of local shipping companies and the channel experience in Africa, South America, North America and South Asia is preferred;
• Able to work under pressure, with good communication and coordination skills; Good professional ethics, can bear hardships and stand hard work, work with perseverance;
• Strong demand judgment, business guidance, business analysis ability, and certain ability to predict market changes
• Familiar with the local air cargoes operations, have the knowledge of freight forwarding, transportation and certain import and export trade, and understand the advantageous routes of local airfreight forwarders;
• Good at English skill.
