Job Description


Chief Financial Officer:

As an integral member of Dina Investment Group’s executive leadership team, the CFO will lead and manage a finance and administrative structure to meet the evolving needs and opportunities of a dynamic and results-driven organization. Reporting directly to the D/CEO, the CFO serves as both a thought partner for setting long-term strategy and a day-to-day manager. The CFO engages in a wide range of functions including developing financial models and managing budgets; overseeing investment, audit, and legal affairs; and leading talent and technology management. He/she is the top –level financial controller, handling everything relating to cash flow and financial planning.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Contributing to the effective leadership of the group, maintaining focus on its purpose and vision through rigorous analysis and challenge.

·  Contributing to the effective management of the institution, including strategy implementation, cross-organizational issues, integrated business and resource planning, risk management and performance management.

· Together with the D/CEO, develop and recommend  annual operating plan and financial budget that support the group’s long term strategy;

· Challenging and supporting decision makers, especially on affordability and value for money, by ensuring policy and operational proposals with financial implications are signed off by the finance function.

·  Assessing the group’s financial management style and the improvements needed to ensure it aligns with the group’s strategic direction.

· Ensure proper training of all personnel working on financial, accounting, audit or fiscal matters;

· Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and take steps to enhance, where necessary, the internal control systems within the Group;

· Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial controls and supporting information systems of the Corporation;

· Developing and maintaining an effective resource allocation model to deliver business priorities

·Maintaining a long term financial strategy to underpin the group’s financial viability within the agreed performance framework.

· Ensure the adequacy of the Corporation’s insurance coverage;

· Advising on the financial thresholds for ‘key’ decisions where required.

·Developing and maintaining appropriate asset management and procurement strategies.

· Oversee and monitor effective tax strategies and compliance for the Corporation;

· Oversee and monitor information technology, leaseholds and procurement;

· Ensure that there is an effective succession plan in place for the CFO position and other senior executives of the group reporting to the CFO;

· Coordinate the preparation of the group’s financial statements and management discussion and analysis (annual and interim);

· Communicating strategy effectively throughout the company.

· Perform other functions related to the post of CFO or as may be reasonably requested by the D/CEO.

Job Requirements

Master’s Degree in Accounting/Management/MBA or an equivalent combination of a Bachelor’s degree and experience. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in strategic planning and 5+ years’ experience in executive leadership positions

CFO typical has the following Skills and Personal Attributes

· Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills

· Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning

· Working knowledge of raising capital beyond traditional lines of credit

· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.

·Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

· High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
