Duty station: Addis Ababa
Employment Status: Contract

Expected Start Date: Immediately after concluding the contract agreement.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage the centralized equipment engineering function
  • Responsible for calculating, defining, and procuring all cell site related hardware/equipment required for the new cell site build process          and network expansion projects as required by the local market
  • Responsible for ensuring all cell site records are updated
  • Responsible for the report daily/weekly report to management team or customer
  • Provides an end-to-end perspective, from network design to optimization
  • providing advisory services to major network equipment vendors and mobile operators in the areas of network planning, network architecture and solution development, as well as radio coverage planning and optimization of 3G/UMTS, GSM, and GPRS

Job Requirements:

  • BA degree or Master’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • More than 5 years experience OMC optimization
  • New Site & Cluster KPI follow-up, troubleshooting, new feature validation
  • Understanding and keeping under control the customer issues with the proper communication to the client.
  • Increase customer satisfaction and confidence by ensuring all issues identified are dealt with and provided a solution within the required time frame
  • Deep knowledge of 2G,3G,4G Optimization (proficient at 3G and familiar with other 2,the more the better )
  • Familiar with TEMS investigation & discovery will be good
  • Word, Excel, Mapinfo, Google earth, VBA and other programming skill will be perfect
