Glow furniture & interior design is looking for an Architect to perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction. You will be involved in new building designs (interior and exterior), extensions, alterations, restorations and conservations from the earliest stages right through to completion. The goal is to match client’s needs and to produce sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design brief and deliverable output.
• Gather and collect design requirements for new constructions, alterations or repairs
• Prepare schematic floor layout with mood-board & style-scape
• Prepare architecture design based on design requirements.
• Prepare construction documentation and interior rendering
• Prepare material schedule and bill of quantity
• Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
• Utilize computer applications in the design process.
• Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
• Make on site visits to check on project status and report on project
• Follow architectural trends and advancement
• Submit architectural designs to management and clients for review and approval.
• Provide construction, time, cost, machineries, and other specifications to management.
• Manage, support and guide designers involved in preparing drawings.
• Review design requirements and determine best design options for building project.
• Participate in team meetings to coordinate design options and ideas.
• Use CAD tool effectively to draft design drawings including 3D models.
• Modify and update designs based on review comments from management.
• Ensure to follow best practices and company standards.
• Evaluate site conditions and constraints for construction projects.
• Maintain all the documentation related to architectural designs and construction conditions.
• Update existing design techniques with respect to latest design trends.
• Provide project status updates to management and stakeholders on regular basis.
• Manage and execute design assignments in a timely manner.
• Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
• Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections
• Compile project specifications

• BS degree in Architecture
• Proven working experience as an Architect
• Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, Auto CAD, Archi-CAD, ARTI-CAD Turbo-CAD Sketch-Up, 3d Studio VIZ or similar design software)
• Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
• Visual awareness and an eye for detail
• Communication and project management skills
• Project management experience.
• Experience with computational design.
• Highly creative, imaginative and artistic.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in regard to communicating an artistic vision.
