Job Description


Job Summary

Provide general day-to-day HR support across the assigned company in relation to all HR, Employee Salary and Benefits and other administrative issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in payroll, pensions, staff entitlements and benefits preparation
  • Maintaining employee files and records
  • Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with company pay structure
  • Prepare job descriptions, job analysis, job evaluations and job classifications
  • Participate in salary and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits
  • Participate in ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices
  • Analyze data and produce reports
  • Managing and maintaining employee files and records
  • Managing and maintaining payroll files and documents properly
  • Support the management on grievance and disciplinary issues
  • Answering employee questions and addressing employee concerns regarding any compensation and benefits issues
  • Review disciplinary actions taken by supervisors against employees to ensure conformity with the existing rules, collective agreements and labor proclamations, assists in gathering facts and evidences.
  • Prepare and submit Insurance reports timely
  • Calculate and record employees annual leave and other leave types in the database
  • Prepare and report Income Tax , Pension , Cost Sharing and other reports to the concerned government offices
  • Prepare and submit Insurance reports timely
  • Perform other related duties as required

Job Requirements

Professional Qualification

  • BA Degree in Management, Accounting, Human resource management and other related fields; Minimum of 4 years experience in HR, mainly in benefits and payroll related role.

Required skill and competences

  • Understanding of Ethiopian Labor Proclamation and working with Collective Agreement
  • Organized and efficient in daily tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
  • Great “people-person” skills and professional attitude
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
