Job Description


The data entry assistant is responsible for assisting the coordinator, manager and officer in the entry and continued management of patient data into internet-based or paper based) reporting systems for the Samaritan’s Purse West Guji Project.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Enter new patient data into reporting system and make periodic amendments to track ongoing care and document discharge and follow-up information.
  2. Update patient charts (online or on paper) periodically to maintain updated information on patients.
  3. Perform other tasks related to documenting patient care as called upon to do by the staff.

Education / Experience Required

  • Training preferably in computer science or information technology.
  • Work experience in data entry, computer programming and/or information technology preferred.

Language

  • Local Language
  • English is an advantage

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
