Job Description

SABA Engineering Plc is a multidisciplinary consulting and contracting firm established in early 1992. The company’s Head Office is located in Akaki, Kality area of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia while it has branch offices in the centre of Addis as well as in other parts of Africa, namely, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.

The company has proved capability to provide test borings and water well drilling, laboratory testing, road & bridge design, surveying, construction supervision and contract administration, materials testing, solid waste management, civil and electro-mechanical works construction, Concrete pole production and Quality Assurance and Management Services.

SABA Engineering PLC would like to invite qualified applicants urgently for the following Vacant Position.

Job Requirements

Education and Field of Study :

  • M.Sc  or  B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management

Overall Experience

  • Number of years of experience in road/railway construction and/or Design Projects
  1. 10 or more  – Excellent
  2. 8 to 10 – Very Good
  3. 5 to 8 – Good

Adequacy for the Assignment

  • Year of experience as Project Manager of Resident Engineer in road construction, upgrading or rehabilitation projects. 3 years
  • Years of experience as Assistant Resident Engineer in managing or administering of road construction, upgrading or rehabilitation project. 4 years
  • Years of experience as Pavement /Material Engineer or Project Engineer or Project coordinator in managing or administering road construction, upgrading or rehabilitation projects. More than 5 years
  • Experience as Resident Engineer or Project Manager on construction/ upgrading/rehabilitation of Double /Triple Bituminous Surface Treatment or asphalt concrete road projects. 2  years
  • Experience as Assistant resident Engineer on construction/upgrading/rehabilitation of Double/ Tripe Bituminous Surface Treatment or asphalt concrete road projects. 3 Years
